Accessibility statement
Shelby Cotton wants this website to work for everyone, including people who use assistive technology. Here's what's in place and how to reach me if something doesn't work.
My commitment
Everyone deserves the same chance to find a home, sell a home and get their questions answered. I want this website to work for every visitor, including people who are blind or have low vision, people who are deaf or hard of hearing, and people who navigate with a keyboard, a screen reader or voice control.
I aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard most widely used for websites in the United States. Accessibility is also part of fair housing, and I take both seriously.
What's in place
- Keyboard access. You can move through menus, links, buttons and forms with a keyboard, and the item you're on is clearly outlined.
- Readable contrast. Text and buttons are designed to stand out clearly from their backgrounds, in both light and dark mode.
- Clear structure. Pages use proper headings and landmarks, so screen readers can announce them and let you jump between sections.
- Room to tap. Buttons and links are sized to be easy to tap on a phone.
- Text you can enlarge. You can zoom the page or increase your browser's text size without losing content.
- Described images. Meaningful images carry text descriptions for screen readers.
- Less motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, the site respects that setting.
- Labeled forms. Every form field has a label, and nothing is ever checked for you in advance.
Known limitations
Some parts of this site come from other companies, and I can't fully control how accessible they are:
- The maps are provided by Google Maps.
- The full home search opens on my eXp Realty, LLC search site, which eXp provides.
- The Texas Real Estate Commission notices open as documents published by TREC or eXp.
- The chat window is provided by GoHighLevel.
