What this site collects
This website is run by Shelby Cotton, a REALTOR® with eXp Realty, LLC in Lubbock, Texas. This policy explains what information the site collects, who receives it and what choices you have. It covers this website only.
When you fill out a form on this site, such as the contact form or a request for one of my free guides, you give me your first and last name and your email address. You can also choose to give me your phone number and a message. Some forms ask one or two extra questions about your plans, and your answers are collected with the form.
If you give a phone number and check the box agreeing to receive text messages, the site records that you agreed, the exact wording you agreed to, and the date and time.
If you use the chat window, the messages you type and any name, email or phone number you give there are sent to me the same way as a form, so I can answer you.
The site does not use advertising or analytics tracking tools, and it does not set tracking cookies. If you choose light or dark mode, that choice is stored in your own browser so the site remembers it. Like any website, the hosting service keeps standard technical logs, such as the pages requested and when, to keep the site running and secure.
Who receives it
I don't sell your information. The companies below handle it on my behalf so the site can work:
- GoHighLevel, the customer relationship system where form submissions and chat messages arrive, and where I manage my follow-up with you. The chat window on this site is provided by GoHighLevel.
- Vercel, which hosts this website.
- Google Maps, which provides the maps shown on the site. When a page shows a map, your browser loads it from Google, and Google's own privacy policy applies to that map.
I may also share your information with others involved in your purchase or sale when you ask me to, such as a lender, a title company or another agent, and when the law requires it.
This policy covers this website, which I run as an agent of eXp Realty, LLC. eXp Realty, LLC has its own privacy policy, which covers information collected on eXp's own websites.
How it is used
I use your information to answer your question, to help you buy a home or sell one, and to follow up about your plans.
I also send email newsletters and market updates. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of any email. Unsubscribing doesn't stop me from answering you whenever you contact me.
I keep your information in my records until you ask me to delete it, unless the law or my brokerage requires me to keep it longer.
Calls and text messages
I only text a phone number when its owner has agreed to receive texts. The consent box on my forms is never checked in advance, and agreeing to texts is not required to contact me or use this site.
Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. You can also ask me directly by email or phone.
Your choices
You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to have it deleted. Contact me using the details below and I'll take care of it.
You can also browse this entire site without giving me any personal information. The forms are the only place the site collects it.
